Great news readers.

The Secretary of State has confirmed that the British Military Tournament will be held at Earls Court on 2nd, 3rd and 4th December 2011.  Portsmouth Action Field Gun have been re-invited to carry out normal early am to late pm rigging duties for the show.  Our main support once again is for the Wellington Cadet field gun crews, for the lynch-in and lynch-out actions.  In addition, we are being allocated practice period time to carry out our own command field gun drills, early morning, as per our old field gun programming at Earls Court i.e. 5.30am - 7am, so full runs by a command field gun crew will once again grace the tan of the arena.  This is a tribute not only to the multitude of ex-field gunners, staff and trainers of past years, but also to the loyalty of our associate members who have committed themselves to the continuing efforts of Portsmouth Action Field Gun over the past 12 years.  2013 is the final year for the BMT and a competitive run is still on the cards.
